School of Singing Parys

The Stéfan Louw School of Singing is in Parys (just over an hour’s drive from Johannesburg). Here Stéfan teaches children and adults the basic principles of singing. Although an opera singer, he does not teach exclusive opera techniques. Students can apply the methods to any genre of music and will learn how to control the breath, correct use of the vocal cords, microphone technique, and proper interpretation of songs.

The school offers weekly lessons paid as an annual school fee, split into monthly instalments.

30-minute lessons: Annual Fee R11,940 – Monthly Instalment R995

45-minute lessons: Annual Fee R16,740 – Monthly Instalment R1,395

60-minute lessons: Annual Fee R19,800 – Monthly Instalment R1,650

Advanced or professional singers can also book a once-off masterclass.
During a masterclass, Stéfan will work with the singer to achieve excellence in performing up to 3 works. Singers typically book a masterclass when preparing for a competition, performance, or recording. The singer must provide their own pianist or backing tracks for the class.
Duration: 120 minutes. Cost: R1,500

School Hours:
